Description

Overview

The Frontier Transformation Framework helps our customers become Frontier Firms: organizations where AI is not a tool added to the business but part of the operating system the business runs on. The single biggest reason AI programs stall is not the technology; 95% of AI pilots fail to deliver meaningful P&L impact because they are deployed without a value hypothesis, measure the wrong things, or never baseline before building. Value Creation and Management is the discipline that closes that gap, turning AI from a cost center with unclear returns into a tracked investment with board-level visibility. The Frontier Transformation team is how the Microsoft Frontier Company, the organization this role sits within, delivers this: a small, senior human-agent team in which each member carries one of the Framework's eight capabilities into the customer, directs a set of digital co-workers to deliver at a scale headcount alone could not, and is designed to fade into a customer counterpart who can carry the work forward.

We are seeking a highly motivated Value Creation Lead to define, design, and prove the business value of AI and agentic investment across strategic customer engagements. In this role, you will own the Value Realization Framework end to end: surfacing where AI investment aligns with a customer's strategic objectives, building the value hypotheses and investment cases that unlock funding, declaring the measurement approach before anything is built, and proving realized outcomes against baselines once solutions are live. You will operate at the intersection of finance, business strategy, engineering, and field delivery, working directly with CFOs, executive sponsors, account teams, Industry Business Architects, and delivery pods.

This is a role for people who are equally comfortable in a CFO-led value workshop and in the detail of a P&L model, who can move from strategic ambition to a defensible financial figure, and who are energized by making value real rather than anecdotal. You will help customers see, fund, and capture the value of becoming a Frontier Firm, while shaping the reusable value patterns, benchmarks, and playbooks that scale this discipline across industries. If you are excited by the opportunity to make AI investment measurable, fundable, and provable, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

Lead value discovery through the Value Realization Framework, running facilitated (often CFO-led) workshops that identify where AI and agent investment aligns with the customer's strategic business objectives.

Build and own value hypotheses for each candidate use case, framed as a single testable statement and mapped to the four value themes: Enrich Employee Experience, Reinvent Customer Experience, Reshape Business Processes, and Bend the Innovation Curve.

Produce value-ranked agent backlogs, prioritizing opportunities by business value, feasibility, and time-to-impact using the Value Rubric and Frontier Guide (Today-vs-Frontier benchmarks).

Develop the Business Case that unlocks funding: a three-scenario financial model (Conservative, Expected, Optimistic) with ROI, time-to-break-even, sensitivity analysis, and an explicit cost of inaction.

Design the Measurement Spine, decomposing the sponsor's Impact KPI into Value Driver KPIs, and defining Adoption Diagnostics (Reach and Depth) that explain why the numbers moved.

Capture before-and-after baselines for every use case ahead of deployment, using quantitative snapshots, user surveys, and stakeholder interviews, so impact can be proven afterward.

Stand up and run measurement instruments, including the Copilot Dashboard in Viva Insights and the per-engagement Pulse Dashboard (Power BI) that reads the Measurement Spine live.

Produce the Agentic Business Impact Report, correlating AI and agent deployment to financial KPIs such as cycle time, cost-to-serve reduction, and throughput improvements tied to specific workflows.

Own the P&L of every Frontier Loop, accounting for human labor, agents, tokens, licenses, and value leakage, and surfacing where projected value is or is not being realized.

Assess Scale Readiness at the end of each engagement (Scale / Sustain / Pivot) and translate the final value assessment into a defensible financial figure that informs the scale decision.

Develop reusable value patterns, rubrics, benchmarks, and playbooks that scale the Value Creation and Management discipline across industries and regions, and transfer the practice to the customer's own finance and value owners.Success in this role looks like

Every AI and agent investment is anchored to a value hypothesis and a strategic KPI, with a clear baseline captured before anything is built.

Sponsors secure funding because the Business Case is credible, transparent, and directly tied to the customer's strategic priorities.

Customers move from concept to funded delivery to proven, board-visible P&L impact rather than anecdotal productivity gains.

Value is measured live against baselines, and the scale decision (Scale / Sustain / Pivot) is grounded in evidence.

The customer's own finance and value owners can run the Value Realization Framework after the engagement fades, and field learnings improve the value playbooks and benchmarks used everywhere else.

Experience shaping SOWs, effort estimates, and success criteria, and defining value governance for large transformation programs.
