Description

Lead the Business Controls, Technology Optimization, and Platform Solutions Team, responsible for scaling and automating global AI infrastructure operations through innovative technical solutions and data-driven decision tools. Partner with business teams to develop problem statements that drive optimal tooling solutions, conducting market research and business recommendations across Construction, Design, Finance, and Accounting to ensure Business Controls scale with evolving program requirements.

Develop scalable processes in partnership with business and technical subject matter experts, prioritizing AI-first solutions and sound data management to ensure optimal execution within tooling architectures.

Lead and mentor a high-performing team of functional TPgMs, providing strategic direction, personalized career development, and intuitive organizational design to support efficient scaling and a culture of professional growth.

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

As the Leader of the Business Controls, Technology Optimization, and Platform Solutions team, you will drive the strategic evolution of Google’s global AI infrastructure within the Google Data Center organization. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders in Design, Construction, and Operations to mature processes and deploy robust, AI-first tooling architectures. By overseeing the entire systems lifecycle—from market research and solution vetting to long-term maintenance—you will ensure that data-driven decision-making is embedded at every level of the organization. A critical component of this role is high-level people leadership; you will manage and mentor a team of Technical Program Managers (TPgMs), fostering a culture of innovation while designing efficient organizational structures that scale alongside Google’s infrastructure demands.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
