Description

Provide project management, cross-functional coordination, inter/intra team communications, and leadership engagement to deliver positive program outcomes. Work with software engineers, product managers and other engineering teams to lead high-quality products and features through the product lifecycle (e.g., scope, develop, build, test, and release on time). Manage project schedules, identify possible issues, and communicate to project stakeholders and leadership. Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones, keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced environment. Lead several technical programs for the Google Cloud, setting priorities for products and engineering, leading cross-functional teams to take products to market, ensuring success metrics are informing future efforts, and fine tuning the program as needed.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$278,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience in program management.

8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications: Experience with executive-level communication and presentations. Ability to plan, scope, and take on responsibility for technical projects and drive them to completion through proper execution and governance. Ability to establish systems to improve business processes, products, or services on an ongoing basis, through measurement of performance, progress, and success metrics. Excellent influencing and team building skills, with the ability to deliver solutions in a changing environment. Excellent verbal/written communication, analytical, organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.

Extended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience in program management.

8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
