Description
Build and launch application programming interfaces for file systems. Design and implement distributed systems to deliver file systems at multi-petabyte scale. Develop file system technologies for data protection features like snapshots, backups, and security. Investigate bottlenecks, deliver performance improvements, and build customer-facing tools to achieve performance for specific scenarios. Implement optimizations to reduce cost.Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. In this role, AI/ML includes many different workflows like pre-training, training, reinforcement learning, inferencing, etc. You will be instrumental in building the next-generation of cloud storage, specifically tailored for extreme-scale, data-intensive workloads such as generative AI and real-time inference. You will join us in delivering industry-leading performance, with the service aiming for throughput up to 10TB/s, significantly surpassing performer offerings.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in programming with Golang, Java or C++. 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or storage systems. 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience developing accessible technologies.
