Description

Deliver insights to management on major competitive dynamics and landscape shifts; Perform ad hoc analysis including, but not limited to, competitive strategy reaction, competitive external statements tracking and strategic implications

Incorporate competitive insights into Google Cloud’s long range planning and influence M&A roadmap development; Collaborate with Strategy & Operations teams to define and quantify the addressable marketDevelop a governance model and tracking mechanism to manage data and process for disclosing metrics externally; Establish statistical framework/analyses and surface insights to enable exec-level resource allocation decision making

Drive automation and scale across long range analytical solutions working with Google Cloud Finance Optimization Office and Corporation partners to deliver best in class solutions Own the delivery of highly sensitive financial information to regulators including working with alphabet regulatory finance, legal teams and outside counsel

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Excellent at working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to address big picture challenges.

You are both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to partners of the core Finance team as well as giving your own team the support they need to become financial experts. You'll keep management informed on key financial metrics and work to improve financial operation practices throughout your region.

The Central Finance Team supports Google Cloud leadership providing them timely, accurate, and actionable insights to support the growth and profitability of the business. We manage the consolidated Google Cloud P&L, as well as maintain a perspective on free cash flow. Our deep business knowledge and data driven insight provides us a seat at the table as integral partners and strategic advisors to the Cloud leadership team.

We partner cross-functionally to drive the right outcomes for the Cloud business. Additionally, we partner and influence the Corporate finance teams on the unique nature of the Google Cloud product area operating model.

This role will lead a team responsible for changing the business activities including but not limited to; competitive & market intelligence, external comms/metrics, regulatory finance and deep analytics for executive decision making.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $205,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

14 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Experience building, developing and leading a team.

Experience managing stakeholders

Preferred qualifications: Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Engineering)

Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques and capabilities. Experience pushing the boundaries of data and developing novel approaches to shed new light on difficult questions

Experience successfully scaling an analytic or Strategic Finance function in the Enterprise or B2B, at a fast paced / high growth technology companyAbility to partner with executive stakeholders to define analysis requirements and priorities, develop and execute strategy, and balance short vs long-term deliverables.

Strong business acumen with an understanding of business drivers and value-creation



Extended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

14 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Experience building, developing and leading a team.

Experience managing stakeholders
