Description
Orchestrate an employee care transformation and forge a path forward. Develop the multi-year organizational strategy to shift People Operations (POps) from a reactive "support center" to an integrated strategic engine of proactive care. Drive transformation by leveraging change management and leadership alignment to implement the strategic pillars: Proactive Personal Intelligence (POps Assistants), Agentified/Ticketless workflows, and Human Amplification via Persona workbenches. Lead the strategic transformation and cross-functional integration of People Experience Operations and Solutions (PXoS). Anticipate, seek out, and define complex, multi-dimensional organizational problems, integrating User and Operational Insights across our Operations Environments via actionable and predictive (quantitative and qualitative) data to create bespoke solutions. Provide executive-level oversight for critical planning and analytics programs, ensuring that disparate manager-led workstreams achieve business continuity, synergy realization, and result in a unified, high-quality Googler experience.From hire to retire, the People Experience (PX) organization delivers personalized end-to-end global processes that delight candidates and Googlers. PX teams span Recruiting, Analytics and Planning, HR Operations, Vendor Management, Service Model Excellence and People Consultant/Market HR employee support.
The Planning, Analytics, and Insights (PAI) team exists to enable magical experiences during the moments that matter at scale for Googlers and candidates. We deliver actionable insights that drive operational performance and resource effectiveness for today, and in the future.
As Director, you will contribute to the development of the strategy, outlook, and desired outcomes to forge a path forward for the global PX organization. You will provide executive-level oversight for planning, analytics, and insights programs that define the future of the Googler and candidate experience. You will be an architect of a functional shift, leveraging advanced business planning and change management to evolve the employee care portfolio from a reactive support model into a proactive, strategic engine powered by personal intelligence, agentified workflows, and human amplification.
In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor and relationship-based coach to executive leadership, leading the cross-functional integration of People Experience Operations and Solutions (PXoS) by synthesizing complex analytical insights. You will anticipate, seek out, and define ambiguous integration problems across disparate HR streams, solving them with bespoke solutions and overcoming cross-functional barriers. Ultimately, you will optimize resources, enforce strict return on investment governance, and drive key efforts in partnership with AI practitioners to ensure AI adoption transforms legacy inefficiencies into future-ready, synergized systems.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $264,000-$367,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 15 years of experience in program management, analytics, strategy, data science, or product development. 5 years of people management experience.Preferred qualifications: Experience leading and developing large teams of cross-functional leaders, analysts, and data scientists within a complex, matrixed organization. Technical proficiency in people analytics, data science, and scaled architecture. Experience leading complex organizational change and "ticketless" AI transformations, shifting operating models from reactive support to proactive employee care using agentic workflows.
Experience overseeing large-scale functional integrations, data infrastructure projects, HRDU migrations, and building centralized data governance for complex operational environments. Ability to manage complex portfolios that address multi-dimensional business barriers, specifically targeting Cost to Serve (CTS) and Cost Per Hire (CPH) reductions.
