Boeing Defense, Space and Security seeks a Verification and Validation Engineer in the Puget Sound area to support multiple programs. This is an opportunity work with an experienced, interdisciplinary team to develop unique systems to meet challenging requirements on dynamic development programs.
We work with proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. Our rapid prototyping demonstrates a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. We work all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop strategies for systems integration across projects and systems with a particular focus on assembly, integration, and test.Develop the system master test plan and test requirements documents. Flow verification and validation requirements from the system level down to commodity owners.Participate in project implementation by identifying activities, resources, and events that address system level verification and validation requirements, including on orbit test requirements.Support stakeholder needs through analysis, requirements development, and allocation, and definition for subcontractors.Use Cameo in a Model Based System Engineering environment.Use JIRA and Confluence project manage tools within an agile framework.Analyze, verify, and validate hardware and software component performance in space systems.Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for complex space and ground architecture integration.
To meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite in Kent, WA.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Special Program Access is mandatory for this position and is contingent on customer concurrence.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.3+ years of career experience in systems engineering, systems integration, or software engineering.3+ years of aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with spacecraft or space systems architecture.Experience in development, build, and test of spacecraft.Experience utilizing Model Based Engineering (MBE or MBSE) tools.Experience with developing and executing integration architectures.SCI/SSBI investigation highly desired.
Typical Education/Experience:
Mid-Level (level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Lead (level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Lead (level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range:
Mid-Level (level 3): 104,550 – 141,450
Lead (level 4): 128,350 – 173,650
Lead (level 5): 157,250 – 212,850
