Boeing Information Technology and Data Analytics (IT&DA) and Engineering & Product Support organization is currently looking for a Senior Technology Data Specialist-Aircraft Maintenance to join our Product Support Engineering team in Seal Beach, CA; or Seattle, WA.

This organization partners internally with Boeing Commercial Services - Customer Support organization and enables the creation and delivery of technical manuals and related content for airlines and maintenance engineering organization. This position provides technical leadership to a team of business and technical developers and subject matter experts that support maintenance engineering deliverables for both commercial airlines and mil-derivative customers.

Position Responsibilities:

Leads multiple components with maintenance engineering authoring and publishing systemsLeads creation and management of strategic and transition roadmaps including data migration and reuseLeads design discussions to support new business requirements and solve production issuesPublishes and presents to technology leaders and business executivesProvides leadership around technical solutions and collaborate with other technologists on creating end-to-end solutionsAssists the business in the scoping and planning of upcoming products and featuresPrioritizes development activities across multiple teams and systemsLeads and supports architectural standards and decisions, and define the logical, conceptual and physical architecture for maintenance engineering systemsCoordinates with business unit authoring organizations and execute detailed test plans for major block point releases

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years of experience with technical data and publications for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering3+ years of experience developing large scale system modernization architectures3+ years of experience in statistical data analysis, process control, process capability and/or failure mode analysis3+ years of experience in a software development leadership role3+ years of experience with analyzing and interpreting engineering data for inclusion into maintenance manuals and technical publications

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Skills/Experience)

10+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with airplane maintenance engineering and support processesExperience investigating, analyzing, and resolving complex application questions and problemsExperience with aircraft configurationExperience with database design/data architectureExperience with standard generalized markup language (SGML) authoringExperience with ATA and S1000DExperience presenting to executive leadershipExperience in Agile methodologies, and ability to blend them where existing structure often requires cross team development and implementation.Experience with DevSecOpsExperience in development of complex systemsExperience with maintenance documentation and publication processesExperience with authoring/publishing systems and output deliverablesExperience in development of system requirements and enhancements, scenarios, testing, integration tasks, analysis, and life cycle processing of requirementsExperience with maintenance business unit authoring groups, Airline Data Delivery teams, and both Commercial and Military customer requirements

Typical Education/Experience:

Senior (Level 4):

Typically, 9 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Senior (Level 5):

Typically, 14 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Summary pay range Senior (Level 4): $118,150 – $159,850

Summary pay range Senior (Level 5): $138,550 – $187,450
