The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Rapid Space Capability (RSC) seeks an experienced Systems Test & Integration Engineer to join the Integrated Test Environments (ITE) team within the Hardware Software Integration (HSI) organization.
The ITE team is supports all RSC programs located in Kent, Washington and El Segundo, California. This position is based in Kent.
Position Responsibilities:
This position focuses on design, deployment, and day-to-day operation of laboratory environments across several programs within the RSC portfolio of program, in support of all phases of the programs, including, but not limited to:
Software Development Environments (SDE) or Software In the Loop (SIL) to enable software teams to develop, integrate and test flight software of satellite and space systems.Hardware In the Loop (HIL) environments to enable system integration, verification, and test activities.FlatSat platforms to enable verification, qualification, test and sustainment activities for satellite and spacecraft systems.Laboratory design and requirement analysis, systems integration and test, scripting, and automation.Assist test and verification teams on the development of test campaigns and activities related to satellite and spacecraft test and qualification activities.Handle End-to-end (E2E) integration and initial test of hardware and software interfaces for the system, to include ground segments when applicable.Design and implement test frameworks for spacecraft systems and hardware, validate firmware and software, and perform regression tests. Deploy and support test frameworks across multiple sites and laboratory environments.Document laboratory design and provide configuration management for the various lab systems.Help define lab operations procedures and assist other engineering teams.Develop test procedures and produce test scripts using LabVIEW and OpenC3.Provide technical, cost, and schedule status to program and function. Support cost and schedule reduction initiatives.Work on subsystem-to-subsystem interface requirements and Command and Data Handling (C&DH) subsystem hardware Subcontract Data Requirements List and Contract Data Requirements List (SDRLs/CDRLs).
All work is performed onsite in Kent, WA with travel up to 25% of the time, domestically and internationally, depending on business needs.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.3+ years of engineering experience in the Aerospace industry.Experience with Python or C, C++, C#.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand and the National Instruments PXI Infrastructure.3+ years of experience with Python or C/C++.Experience with Serial interfaces, such as RS422.Experience with SpaceWire interfaces.Experience with Cosmos or OpenC3 test executive.Experience developing, deploying, and operating laboratory platforms such as Hardware in the Loop, and Software in the Loop.Expertise with lab test set-up and equipment (i.e., Oscilloscope, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, etc.).Ability to identify root-cause issues and drive resolution.

Mid-Level (level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Lead (level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Lead (level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level (level 3): 104,550 – 141,450
Lead (level 4): 128,350 – 173,650
Lead (level 5): 157,250 – 212,850
