Boeing Defense Space and Security is currently looking for a Ground & Mission Systems Integration & Test Engineer to join their team in Kent, WA.

The Ground Engineering & Operations organization designs, develops and integrates ground hardware and software solutions for our customers’ on-orbit satellite missions.

Position Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the ground system integration and test strategy in support to the overall space system verification and validation campaignLead efforts to generate verification and validation requirements derived from ground system requirementsGenerate verification and validation plans for execution by software test teamsLead efforts to collect and process test data results to generate formal test reportsDesign and implement test environments and supporting infrastructure such as simulators, interface bridges, test data, and hardware integrationWork closely across interdisciplinary IPTs, customers, external stakeholders, cloud service providers, and data providers/consumers to coordinate, schedule, and execute internal and enterprise-level integration, checkout, and test events

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.3+ years of career experience in systems engineering, systems integration and test, or software engineering.3+ years of aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience with ground system and software architecture within space systems.Experience in development, build, and test of ground systems.Experience with modern cloud-based web architectures and applications.Experience planning and executing software integration and test campaigns.Experience utilizing Model Based Engineering (MBE or MBSE) tools.SCI/SSBI investigation highly desired.

Typical Education & Experience:

Lead (Level 4):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 5):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range Lead (Level 4): $128,350 – $173,650

Summary pay range Senior(Level 5): $157,250 – $212,750
