Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Specialist to join our team in Tukwila, WA.

This position will support Supplier Quality activities in the startup of a new Boeing Mobility, Surveillance & Bomber Division program in Puget Sound, Washington. Primary job location will be in Tukwila, Washington.

The successful candidate for this job will work in a fast paced, dynamic team environment and will assume the role of Supplier Quality focal for quality issues and communication between Boeing’s supply chain and the programs. The employee will work with our site program teams and regional Supplier Quality representatives to identify and implement Boeing's quality requirements throughout the supply chain. The selected individual will work in an atmosphere rich with career development opportunities obtained by mentoring, coaching and team building with other motivated and talented quality employees. The current SQ team is made up of a group of individuals with experience ranging from recent new-hires (less than 2 yrs experience) to over 34 years with the company. This knowledge base allows our team the flexibility to provide a challenging and success oriented work environment for our employees.

Position Responsibilities:

Reviews proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program developmentPrepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployedAnalyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of problemsParticipates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementationConducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics, to continuously improve process capabilityConducts quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions, and develops a coordinated response for management review and approvalConducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to managementAnalyzes data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

1+ years of experience with statistical data analysis and presenting the resultsExperience supporting reviews of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirementsExperience working in a quality roleExperience in Supplier Quality processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s Degree or higher3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)1+ year of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications1+ year of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA)

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
