Everett, WA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) business organization.

Depending on skills, the individual will work in a number of areas including Avionics, Cabin and Network Systems, Common Core System, Electronic Subsystems, Environmental Controls, Flight Controls, or Propulsion. The individual will assist with documenting of software requirements, architectures, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systemsLeads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software systemDevelops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are metProvides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activitiesLeads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metricsPlans, executes and documents software research and development projectsServes as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulationsTracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standardsWorks under minimal direction

Security Clearance/Export Control Requirements:

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science5+ years' as a current Designated Engineering Representative (DER) or Technical Standard Order (TSO) Certification Specialist.9+ years of experience in RTCA DO-178(B/C) Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification.5+ years’ experience in software engineering.

12+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with concurrent software and distributed systems12+ years’ experience in software development life cycles, configuration management and best agile software engineering practices9+ years’ experience developing, documenting and maintaining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems9+ years’ experience leading software development projectsLeads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systemsLeads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metricsExperience using common software version control tools such as GitExperience with Agile planning tool such as JIRA, TSF

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 4:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Level 5:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 4 - $130,900.00 - $177,100.00

Level 5 - $161,500.00 - $218,500.00
