The Boeing Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) organization is seeking a Procurement Agent to join our team in Mesa, AZ; Everett, WA; Huntsville, AL; North Charleston, SC; Oklahoma City, OK; Renton, WA; San Antonio, TX; Chicago, IL; Arlington, VA or Berkeley, MO. This role will be supporting Indirect Supply Chain’s Transportation and Warehousing team, primarily focused on transportation. In this role you will have ownership of the source-to-pay process across a series of contracts for specialized air transportation, ocean, and others.

Additional duties in this position may require mentoring other team members for either commodity specific knowledge or project management of issues. You would be responsible for interfacing with business partners daily, with an emphasis on building trust in relationships. The team is mostly virtual, but will require periodic on-site activity in support of All Employee Meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, business partner activities, and supplier visits. The ideal candidate is familiar with procurement contracting activities as well as experience working in transportation commodities.

Position Responsibilities:

Works with business partners to be the single point of contact for Request for Quote (RFP) activity including source selection, negotiation of terms and conditions, analysis, and awardInterprets contract language to resolve discrepanciesUtilizes multiple data systems to reconcile spend information, place orders, and resolve payment issuesNegotiates pricing and contract terms and conditionsPrepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreementsOptimizes execution of the supply chain balancing inventory, supply orders and schedule demandManages performance and relationship to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability, and in-service performanceMitigates risks and issuesInitiates supplier improvement activities and provides results for integration into contracting strategiesRemains compliant with department requirementsEmbraces a lean mindset and identifies efficiencies that can be implemented

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

1+ years of experience interpreting and/or enforcing contract terms and conditions on existing contracts1+ years of experience extracting and compiling data from multiple sources1+ years of experience developing and briefing presentations

Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):

3+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with negotiations of contract terms and conditionsExperience working in a cross functional team environment and building stakeholder trustExperience presenting to leadership teams at a director level or aboveExperience helping business partners to refine technical requirementsExperience mentoring others to gain a better understanding of a process or commodity

Typical Education & Experience:

Associate (Level 2):

Typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Mid-Level (Level 3):

Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.

Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for associate level: $56,100-$87,400

Summary pay range for mid-level: $69,700-$108,100
