We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Painter Spray Details Assembler. In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously preparing various parts and applying finishes to aircraft, missiles, or space vehicle interiors, exteriors, parts, and assemblies. Your unwavering attention to detail and strict adherence to blueprints, specifications, instructions, and quality requirements will be instrumental in upholding the utmost standards of craftsmanship and quality.
Position Responsibilities:
Apply finishes in accordance with an established sequence of operations, predetermined, and repeatable* process per blueprints, specifications, instructions, and quality requirements to aircraft, missiles or space vehicle interiors, exteriors, parts and assemblies.
Associated Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare surfaces to assure proper adhesion including selection and use of agents to accomplish typical operations such as removal of corrosion, paint stripping and protective coating; chemical reactivation of paint surfaces, etc.
Perform rework and touchup painting, both spray and brush, per BAC specifications.
Prepare the various paint materials (such as primer, enamels, lacquers, etc.) per BAC specifications.
Clean and service spray guns, paint tanks, brushes, hoses and related equipment after using.
Mask and unmask required areas to facilitate corrosion removal or painting operations.
Prepare and set up all equipment and supplies to perform work assignment.
Operate ovens and ensure the curing and air filtering equipment are functioning and in proper mode for current process (such as oven temperature, booth pressure drop, breathing air, humidity, etc) and document as required.
Monitor and maintain time sensitive materials/processes.
Screen work instructions to support division of work for incoming orders.
Part mark and wrap parts/assemblies as required per BAC specifications.
Obtain and maintain any certifications and qualifications as required.
Definition of Terms: *Repeatable: Where the finish is applied in an environment where a majority of paint operations occur everyday consistent in finish type, application and fixturing.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience finishing and painting in either Aircraft, Automotive or Marine.
Experience spray painting (on the job or in an educational environment).
Effectivelywear eye, hearing, foot, hand, respirator and other personal protective equipment/safety gear at all times.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
Experience handling and disposing hazardous materials per government regulations.
Effectively complete Fall Protection Training
Typical Education:
High school graduate or GED preferred.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This position is for a variety of shifts.

This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinists (IAM-751) Collective Bargaining agreement.

Summary pay range:$18.00 - $41.35 per hour
