We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our exciting team. The operators in this position are responsible for operating and monitoring various tanklines used for chemical cleaning, etching, and coating of parts and materials. They ensure that the tanklines are running smoothly and that the parts are properly processed before the final finish is applied or before they are installed into an assembly.
In addition to operating and monitoring the tanklines, these operators may also use an overhead crane to load and prepare parts for processing. This could involve moving parts to and from the tanklines, as well as ensuring that they are properly prepped before being processed.
Overall, the role of these operators is to ensure that the tanklines are functioning correctly, that the parts are processed according to the required specifications, and that the final finish or assembly meets the necessary quality standards.
Position Responsibilities:
Rack parts or material per standard work or Manufacturing Process Guide (MPG).Check racked parts to verify correct chemical process and part numbers per W/O. Ensure good contact to prevent burning of parts.Operate material handling systems, including various types of automated or manual cranes.Route parts and material to correct process line, per W/O.Operate tankline and monitor process for correct dip times, tank levels and temperatures, check racks for part fall off. Notify Batteryman and team lead when temperature, tank level and chemicals need adjusting.Part Mark and wrap per work order or drawing requirements as required.Rework (e.g. sand and shot peen, local etch, and local strip) per instructions, as needed.Route completed parts to next workstation, verify complete coverage and sell job to (QA) Quality Assurance. Match W/O with correct parts, unrack, wrap and load parts into material handling equipment, as required.Handle and dispose of hazardous material in an approved manner (e.g., alodine solvents) as needed.Operator or Team Leader will leave oral or written tie-in for the following shift.Contact supervisor or co-worker with questions when assistance is needed or when any problems arise.Complete OJT and maintain all certifications required for the position.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position meets Export controlled requirements and Requires a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15? “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1+ years experience demonstrating entry level competency in operation of Overhead Cranes, in a safe manner as required.1+ years experience handling, and disposal of hazardous materials/chemicals, oils, coolants, and lubricants per government regulations and Boeing procedures.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Previous tankline/chemical operations preferredCrane Operations preferred
Typical Education:
High school graduate or GED preferred.
Relocation:
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Shift:
This position is for 2nd shift.
