Research, Development & Innovation (RDI), a division of Indirect Supply Chain, is seeking a Senior Procurement Agent to join our team located in Huntington Beach, CA; North Charleston, SC; Tukwila, WA; Hazelwood, MO; or Mesa, AZ

You will play a crucial role in supporting new business initiatives and strategic sourcing. You will be responsible to support all aspects of the procurement process from beginning to end, ensure compliance with government regulations, and secure the best value for The Boeing Company.

This is an exciting opportunity to support state of the art procurements for our research and development labs. Our projects fuel the growth of the company by supporting the Enterprise Standard Gated Process to secure new business from key government agencies. Additionally, we develop and execute sourcing strategies with suppliers to execute complex procurements that will be part of Boeing’s competitive advantage today and for years to come. Our team supports both Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) and Boeing Defense, Space & Security Systems (BDS).

Position Responsibilities:

Execute Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) or Memorandum of Agreements (MOA) and collaboration agreementsAnalyze pricing proposals and cost estimates to determine fairness, reasonableness, and cost-effectivenessNegotiate contract pricing and terms and conditions to achieve cost savings and maximize valueDraft, review, and administer purchase orders in accordance with government regulations (Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)) and Boeing organizational policies in SAP S/4 HANAIdentify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supplier performance, contract terms, and delivery schedulesParticipate in supply chain process improvement teams and identify improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategiesDevelop and execute company strategic business goals and objectivesConsult on proposal analyses and development of negotiation strategiesEmbrace a lean mindset and identify efficiencies that can be implemented

This position is hybrid. This means the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

10+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management10+ years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance10+ years of experience in proposal development10+ years of experience negotiating non-competitive, government procurements that exceed the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) threshold10+ years of experience with proposal management or contract exposure with the US Department of Defense (DOD)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience using eParts requirement systemExperience using Systems Applications and Processing (SAP), S/4 HANAExperience working with EPIC (Electronic Procurement Information Center) or similar softwareBachelor’s degree or higher

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: $117,300 - $170,200
