Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a RESOURCE (STAFFING) MANAGER (Level K) to join our 777 Final Assembly Team in EVERETT, WASHINGTON on 1st Shift. This role is responsible for workforce planning, staffing alignment, and employee movement across the organization. This role is responsible for coordinating staffing execution against forecasted demand, supporting leader staffing reviews, maintaining staffing data and visual management tools, and enabling timely resource decisions. This role will also lead and support Lean initiatives across the Final Assembly organization to drive process improvements, standardization, and operational performance. The selected candidate will partner closely with first-line leaders, Workforce, Industrial Engineering, and other staffing focals to support business continuity, operational readiness, and continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities
Review staffing demand and workforce data, including Short Range Forecast gaps and headcount-by-name reports, to support workforce alignmentLead recurring staffing reviews with first-line leaders across all shifts and drive closure of resulting action itemsAlign incoming FTC employees to shops and managers based on forecasted demand and business needsSupport level-load planning and employee movement across shops in coordination with staffing focals and WorkforceMaintain staffing data, staffing room, and create weekly staffing reportsPartner with Industrial Engineering to align staffing visibility with bar chart and planning updatesSupport SOJT readiness activities and Industrial Athlete new-hire completionSupport interviews, ERT coordination, and staffing requests from senior leaders and directors, as neededDrive process improvements that support BPS, Lean, standardization, and staffing efficiency
Basic First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing1+ years experience in workforce planning, staffing coordination, or related operations support3+ years coordinating with cross-functional teams or organizations1+ years experience managing multiple priorities in a collaborative environmentCandidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years’ experience partnering with Workforce, Industrial Engineering, and Operations leadership3+ years experience in Lean or Project Management3+ years’ experience using metrics and workforce data to support business decisions and continuous improvement3+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
