The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Data Visualization Architect to join the team in either Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; Mesa, AZ; or North Charleston, SC.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Visualization Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing effective data visualization solutions that enable our organization to make data-driven decisions. The Data Visualization Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data visualizations. This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis, visualization techniques, and business intelligence tools like Tableau, Cognos, etc.

Position Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data visualization solutions

Design and develop visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations using industry-leading business intelligence tools

Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data visualizations by performing data validation and quality checks

Optimize data visualization performance by identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization and business intelligence tools

Drive enterprise-wide best practice sharing & conduct training sessions and provide guidance to end-users on how to effectively use and interpret data visualizations

Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to ensure the availability and accessibility of relevant data for visualization purposes

Conduct regular audits of existing data visualizations to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes

Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and continuously improve the usability and functionality of data visualizations

Document design specifications, data sources, and data visualization processes for future reference

Drive BI platform enhancements including BI on the cloud

Drive UX improvements across the enterprise BI platforms and bring thought leadership on UX for EAID

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher

10+ years of experience in Data Visualization, Data Story telling or Data Visualization Architect

10+ years of experience with Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, or other visualization tools

10+ years of experience using data analysis, modelling and visualization applications (Excel Power Pivot, Power Query and MS Access)

10+ years of experience with Relational Databases such as SQL-Server, Oracle, Teradata

10+ years of experience with UX Design

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Certifications in data visualization or business intelligence tools or similar

10+ years of experience as a visualization architect or similar

10+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or Azure

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years' related work experience, Master+18 years' related work experience, 24 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Summary pay range: $164,050 – $238,050
