The Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness (RA&A) Enterprise Certification Processes team is centrally responsible for integration of certification processes across our Global Enterprise (Commercial, Defense and Global Services). Team members grow to become experts in the certification business and solve technical issues across the certification value stream. We are owners of processes and documents, manage change and drive efficiency/ease of compliance all from a variety of sources.
Understanding of the Boeing ODA Procedures Manual (BPM) and affected processes and procedures is strongly desired. Experience working with the FAA is also strongly desired. This position will interface with ODA Unit members such as Project Administrators and Engineering Unit Members.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Senior (Level 4 or Level 5) Senior Certification Systems Engineers.
Primary responsibilities:
Oversees the identification, analysis, and assessment of regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products and services.Leads collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate airworthiness and regulatory compliance requirements; provides recommendations for incorporating into designs, operations, and procedures.Oversees reviews of regulatory and customer requirements and evaluation of impact to company products and services.Leads the review of highly complex regulatory and certification technical data for completeness and alignment to applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.Oversees development of a compliance statement for the airworthiness of aerospace systems and products.Advises on process or reported in-service fleet issue improvements for achieving regulatory compliance. Leads engagement with regulators on complex programs or initiatives to shape and influence certification strategies, approaches, activities.Leads partnership and integration with regulatory authorities to complete validation of airworthiness to applicable requirements as authorized.Provides consultation on technical support, training, tools and resources provided to the delegated approval organization.Advises throughout the development of compliance reports and documents in accordance with applicable requirements and regulations.Leads, promotes and provides recommendations on global regulatory advocacy strategies, trainings, tools, and methods.Provides advanced technical consultation across the enterprise on aerospace regulatory compliance projects and programs.Defines complex research and development activities resulting in innovative solutions.Participates in industry standards development and benchmarking to inform new and innovative solutions.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statementLevel 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience working directly with the FAA and/or ODA on Type Certification projects9+ years of experience in developing and/or contributing to processes, policies, and procedures9+ years of experience do you have with technical experience in an aerospace environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
Level 5: 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience as a Design Approval Engineer (DAE)Experience working with DCCS (Design Change Classification System)Experience implementing processes and standards compliant with airplane certification standards and/or FAA certification standardsExperience working with 14 CFR Part 25 regulationsExperience developing Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s), planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processesExperience developing and briefing presentationsExperience managing conflicting priorities in a resource-scarce environmentExperience creating Certification plans

Senior (Level 4): $141,100 - $190,900Senior (Level 5): $170,850 - $231,150
