Boeing Defense, Space and Security is seeking a SeniorAvionics Systems Engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leader in Puget Sound to support multiple space programs. The position provides an opportunity work with an experienced, interdisciplinary team to develop unique systems to meet challenging requirements on dynamic development programs. This position is in support of space systems architecture, requirements development and management, use case development and verification strategies with a software implementation focus.

Boeing creates the next generation products and services for the Boeing Defense, Space & Security business. We work with proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. Our team focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.

Position Responsibilities:

Work with customers and suppliers to develop and document space vehicle avionics system, sub-system, and supplier requirements on a program with multiple suppliers.Lead analysis and translation of requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.Lead trade studies to make design decisions on the avionics systemLead integration, testing and validation work on the system design to assure that operational and functional requirements are met for the subsystemManage performance of critical suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Lead the resolution of technical issues that arise during development, qualification, functional integration and operational testing, including supplier technical issues.Lead design reviews and associated work products for each reviewWork with internal stakeholders and external customers to selloff the subsystemCoordinate and integrate SW functional requirements within the avionics units

To meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite in Kent WA.

This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.5 years or more of Systems Engineering on aerospace platforms or similar highly regulated products3 years or more of avionics integration experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience with trade studies, requirements development, verification/validation, ICDs, and supplier technical managementExperience in development, build and test of spacecraft avionicsExperience utilizing Model Based Engineering (MBE or MBSE) toolsExperience with EVMS

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range (Senior Level 5): $157,250- $ 212,750
