Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Aircraft Test Technicians to join our Joint and Installation team in Renton & Everett, Washington!This is an exciting opportunity to fly each airplane on the ground through testing of all systems and aircraft functions.

As an Aircraft Test Technician, you become a crucial player in ensuring the operational efficiency of various aircraft systems during the assembly process. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for conducting operational/production testing, troubleshooting, and performing rework/repair tasks. Get ready to dive into the heart of aviation technology as you work with electrical/electronic, pressure, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Utilizing a combination of airplane diagnostic systems and a wide range of PC and non-PC based testing equipment, you will showcase your comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems and the necessary test equipment. Your exceptional skills in identifying and resolving issues that may arise during testing, as well as your ability to perform rework or repairs as needed, will be highly valued.

Position Responsibilities:

Perform operational/production testing, troubleshooting, and rework/repair of all aircraft systems before, during, and after final assembly. This includes electrical/electronic, pressure (positive and negative), hydraulic, and mechanical systems, utilizing airplane diagnostic systems and a range of PC-based and non-PC-based test equipment.

Utilize computer systems in a production environment to access, read, and comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.

Work on live aircraft, adhering to strict safety protocols, and being exposed to hazardous energy levels such as electricity, fluid and gaseous pressure, and noise.

Conduct thorough inspections of work to ensure quality standards are met and check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD).

Safely operate mechanical lifts and material handling devices of various types, including "tiger" and "snorkel" man lifts, boom hoists, electric tugs, BOTS, etc.

Utilize a wide range of tools, such as rivet guns, bucking bars, screwdrivers, lock bolt pullers, power screwdrivers, c-squeezes, ratchet wrenches, nut runners, drills, wire cutters, wire crimps, soldering guns, and various other hand tools.

Work with chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and special finishes following proper safety procedures.

Engage in frequent finger manipulation activities, including keyboarding and other tasks.

Work around energized sources, including electrical equipment, and be aware of hazards and potential shocks, such as circuit breakers and wiring. Constant exposure to noise is expected.

Perform physical tasks such as flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist, and walking.

Lift and carry objects weighing up to 35 pounds.

Use high impact vibratory tools for tasks such as bucking and riveting.

Read from computer screens, printed drawings, and documents as part of the job requirements.

Successfully pass an eye examination to assess color perception.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a ā€œUS Personā€ as defined by 22 C.F.R. Ā§ 120.15 is required. ā€œUS Personā€ includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

1+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting electronics and electrical systems.

1+ years of experience following oral and written instructions.

Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift.

Must have the ability to recognize colors.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

1+ years of experience in the inspection of parts, components, assemblies or units.

1+ years of experience in an aircraft test environment.

1+ years of experience in HVAC.

1+ years of experience in ā€˜General Automotive Servicing and/or ASE certified.

Enrolled in related community or technical college program or in a qualified A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) school.

Typical Education & Experience:

High School Diploma and/or General Education Diploma (GED).

Summary pay range: $26.50 - $46.27 per hour
