Join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Elastic Disaster Recovery team as a Business Development Specialist!This is a pivotal role within the AWS Worldwide Disaster Recovery team, blending strategic vision with hands-on execution and direct relationship management.
As a Worldwide Specialist, you will own the growing adoption, utilization, and revenue for an AWS service(s) worldwide. You will gather customer and industry needs and partner with AWS product teams to innovate, develop, and deliver AWS offerings. WW Specialists are technically savvy resources responsible for identifying opportunities to innovate with customers, influencing the AWS product roadmap, and driving revenue for a specific AWS service(s). As a WW Specialist, you will own, develop, and implement technical go-to-market plans and sales plays for new or existing services, and drive customer and partner engagements by participating in AWS field enablement activities.
Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record and background developing and executing GTM motions that deliver results at scale via sales teams, technical roles, and partners. In addition, they will possess a business and technical background that enables them to drive strategic engagements and build trust at all customer levels: CxO/VP, technical leaders and architects.
An entrepreneurial spirit with a high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity.
Analytical capabilities - understanding problems and finding pragmatic solutions to them quickly
Understanding costs / delivery models, specifically of Cloud management, risk and business continuity
You have designed large scale programs/mechanisms and complex processes that can scale.
You understand how to automate onboarding experiences that guide partners and end-users to platform adoption with minimal “face-to-face” time.
You have proven experience in being able to identify, network and nurture champions and you have helped build and document success stories

Qualifications
- 10+ years domain knowledge on Cloud Ops and Managed Services- Experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
Extended Qualifications
- Sales or business development experience with disaster recovery solutions- Experience with both enterprise commercial technology sales cycles
- Experience gathering customer input up to the VP level
- Technical aptitude to understand IT challenges experienced by customers and how that aligns with AWS' solutions
- Experience developing and executing GTM strategies at scale across hundreds of internal teams and thousands of customers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
