Description

Are you energized to drive adoption of generative AI and machine learning technologies at AWS customers and service evolution of these technologies with AWS Service leadership? Are you passionate about building new businesses? AWS is seeking a Go-To-Market (GTM) Specialist to define, build and lead the business development efforts to scale world-wide adoption of key components of Amazon SageMaker. As an AI/ML Specialist you will be responsible for defining, building and deploying targeted programs to accelerate worldwide adoption of Amazon SageMaker.

The candidate will have technical knowledge and business experience to communicate the benefits of using managed ML services in AWS to ML platform engineering, data science and business intelligence teams with Directors, VPs of these teams and with C-Level executives. They will have used this background to launch and drive scale campaigns and sales plays with broader field teams to drive product/service adoption at global scale. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience in driving adoption and usage of IDEs with a deep understanding of user personas and usability aspects, and a passion for helping customers simplify and implement end-end user journeys through IDE(s). Finally, the candidate will have experience in, and be passionate about helping product teams prioritize roadmaps, guiding marketing teams on messaging, and enabling specialist sellers and field teams on how to position and sell products/services in machine learning, deep learning, or generative AI with strong IDE offerings.

Key job responsibilities

Be the outward face of AWS generative AI and machine learning by defining and executing go-to-market activities for Amazon SageMaker. You will be working hand-in-hand with AWS generative AI and machine learning Solution Architects, Product Managers and Marketing Managers to run world-wide sales plays and campaigns that target specific customer cohorts and drive specific use-cases, user journeys and service capabilities. You will be engaging directly with customers’ business stakeholders on a daily basis to understand their needs in generative AI and machine learning and help them adopt the right Service capabilities. Your work will define and drive the process that regional AI/ML presales and account teams will follow to accelerate sales and partner engagements of the AWS ML Services portfolio and you will synthesize data and information gathered from these customers and partners into your GTM strategy to successfully scale service adoption. This entails garnering impactful customer and market insights, developing messaging and solution strategies, communicating those findings to product and sales teams, including senior management. This also involves educating and enabling regional AI/ML presales and AWS account teams to drive effective sales plays and campaigns to accelerate worldwide adoption of AWS ML Services.

A day in the life

The candidate will drive outbound product management and business development for generative AI and machine learning. They will drive engagements and interactions directly with customers at the highest levels of large enterprises and technology partners. They will utilize their technical knowledge and business experience to communicate the benefits of using managed ML services in AWS to ML platform engineering and data science teams with Directors, VPs of these teams and with C-Level executives. They will build internal and external facing assets including video demos, positioning slides, pricing tools, FAQs, enable field AI/ML specialist, partnership and account teams on these assets, conduct customer webinars, collaborate with adjacent IDE teams to ensure customers get an integrated IDE experience, track revenue trends at key customers/customer cohorts, and device campaigns and sales plays to drive revenue growth and opportunity pipeline. They will lead weekly calls with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Marketing Managers to discuss revenue and deal pipeline trends, key customer insights, product issues/gaps and discuss roadmap/issue prioritization. They will work with account teams and customers to help secure commitment for public references. Finally, they will magnify the impact of their work, by sharing insights with peers and Leadership utilizing Amazon’s business writing practices.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of professional or military experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders



Extended Qualifications

- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

- 5+ years of product management, business development and/or technical pre-sales roles at B2B companies (Enterprises, Startups, Management consulting or System Integration Services Companies, preferably in Analytics, IoT, ML, AI).

- Go-to-market experience in driving adoption of new products/services/features across a large customer base with demonstrable results delivered.

- Experience in managing multiple initiatives simultaneously (campaigns, projects, launches etc.) working across multiple functional teams (Product, Marketing, SAs, Specialist Sellers).

- Experience managing, tracking, and communicating subjective and objective business performance, risks and projections.

- Experience advocating on customers behalf by understanding their pain points, helping customers navigate through technology options and adoption challenges, and conveying insights back to product teams.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
