Description
The North America Stores Insights team enables direct communication with our customers via research to inform and inspire customer-centric strategy and innovation. We are looking for a highly strategic, mixed methods UX Researcher who is inventive and thrives in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous situations. As a UX Researcher, you will design, execute, and analyze research to ensure cross-product category, priority initiatives are truly conceived and executed in a customer first way.Key job responsibilities
* Help partner teams and leadership determine the right research questions to ask; these include UX designers, product managers, engineering, and marketing.
* Define and execute (and, as necessary, invent) research methods appropriate to the questions at hand.
* Own all aspects of qualitative and quantitative research (survey design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, communicating, budgeting research, etc.) and, in some cases, direct external research agencies.
* Distill clear customer needs from diverse data sets (e.g., behavioral/telemetry, survey, qualitative interviews/usability, etc.).
* Show good judgment when making trade-offs between experimental rigor (long-term) and the need to quickly derive actionable insights that reduce project and/or product risk (short-term).
* Create medium-term research roadmaps that align to and inform product strategy and goals.
* Participate in team planning and office hours, and take on projects that improve team processes. Provide peer feedback on research plans and reports for your team and for self-service researchers.
* Leverage excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
A day in the life
In this role, you will be leading end-to-end research and interact with Product, Tech, UX and marketing on a regular basis.
