This design role will define future experiences that will have the greatest impact on users thorough the talent acquisition user journey. We are looking for a UX design leader who has deep expertise and a proven track record in planning and leading engaging design workshops, managing Business, Experience and Technically (BXT) sprints, and collaborative ideation sessions. This UX designer will need to thrive in ambiguity, working directly with senior leaders, across engineering, operations, research science and product management to identify strategic, undefined opportunity areas to improve our talent acquisition experiences.

Drawing from customer insights, business requirements, and research data, you will be responsible for ideating on innovative solutions. Strong storytelling and presentation skills are essential, as this UX designer will need to clearly communicate the design strategy, outcomes, and deliverables to diverse stakeholders and senior leadership. They must be comfortable making high-judgment calls throughout the design process.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and storyteller, who is comfortable in presenting north star design work to senior business leaders. Strong collaboration skills are critical, as this UX designer will need to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and other disciplines.

Key job responsibilities

• Deeply understand the nature of our talent acquisition businesses and customers.

• Identify key opportunity areas to improve customer experiences based on user research, trends, research science data, and business requirements.

• Work directly with senior leaders to identify large, undefined opportunity areas to improve the customer experience across existing and future product roadmaps.

• Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams through problem definition, ideation, validation and execution of innovative design solutions.

• Plan and facilitate design workshops, sprints and ideation sessions.

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of talent acquisition trends, customer needs and business requirements to inform design strategy.

• Work across design, product, engineering, and hiring operations to create strong relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders.

• Utilize strong storytelling and presentation skills to clearly communicate the design strategy, outcomes, and deliverables to diverse stakeholders.

• Seek opportunities to make improvements to team efficiency and process.



Qualifications

- 10+ years of design experience

- Have an available online portfolio

- Experience with best practices for User Interface Design, Information Architecture, and Interaction Design

- Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy through execution



Extended Qualifications

- Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data

- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure, Keynote, and InVision

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
