Amazon Advertising is looking for a high-caliber and tested design leader to create innovative experiences that streamline enterprise workflows, internally and externally, globally and at scale. In this role, you’ll lead (and grow) a high-performing team of UX professionals—working collaboratively with user research, engineering, and product management through all aspects of the product development life-cycle.This work has strategic significance and high leadership exposure. Our ideal candidate is a pragmatic manager who can operate both tactically with high attention to details, as well as think big visualizing an experience in the abstract and then driving that vision into solid design deliverables (e.g. UI, IA, prototypes) with their team.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design process and deliverables
- Translate business needs into customer-focused retail and enterprise solutions
- Responsibly and effectively advocate for customers; imparting day-to-day strategic design leadership that fosters a shared understanding of the customer-centric intersection between design, content, business and technology needs
- Grow and mentor design talent
- Partner with user researchers and product managers to appropriately assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features (using, usability findings, customer feedback, site metrics, etc.)
About the team
You will be leading a UX team that is focused on designing end-to-end experiences for advertising customers. Your peers will be other UX managers who are all addressing facets of the advertiser workflow.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of design experience- 3+ years of leading design teams experience
- Experience managing teams
- A comprehensive online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating past experience of shipped work.
Extended Qualifications
- Experience working cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from product management, engineering, testing, and marketing- Experience leading design teams in problem definition, artifact rendering, cross-functional collaboration and delivery, and user validation and measurement
- Experience designing software for end users or enterprise customers
- Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
