Are you a seasoned UX Designer, passionate about new technologies, AI, driving change through data, and using customer obsessed design processes to create innovative tools?The Advertiser User Experience team is looking for a thoughtful and passionate UX Designer who specializes in data visualization and can leverage artificial intelligence to reimagine how advertisers understand and optimize complex advertising campaigns.

Our group functions as a start-up within Amazon, offering a creative, fast-paced environment where you'll apply advanced visualization techniques to solve complex reporting challenges.
As a UX Designer focusing on data visualization, you'll design scalable systems that make complex advertising metrics accessible and meaningful. You'll create intelligent dashboards and reporting interfaces that leverage AI to surface insights automatically, reducing cognitive load and enabling faster decision-making. Your designs will help advertisers easily understand performance patterns across massive datasets, transforming how they optimize their advertising strategies.
You will collaborate across disciplines, from initial concept development through implementation, working closely with product management, data scientists, AI specialists, user researchers, and engineering teams. Your expertise in visualizing complex data will be crucial as you tackle our most challenging advertising analytics problems, creating solutions that scale effectively across diverse advertiser needs.
In this fast-evolving space, you'll need to balance analytical thinking with creative problem-solving, transforming technical complexity into intuitive user experiences. You must be comfortable with ambiguity, able to navigate evolving AI capabilities, and skilled at creating visualization systems that adapt to emerging technologies. Your work will directly influence how advertisers interpret and act on their advertising performance data, ultimately driving innovation in how Amazon's advertising ecosystem delivers value.
The ideal candidate brings strong data visualization expertise, experience designing for complex information systems, and enthusiasm for exploring how artificial intelligence can enhance user understanding of multifaceted datasets.
Key job responsibilities
* Collaborate and work closely with product management, engineering, and research from design concept to design solution, setting UX guidelines and driving cross-team collaboration and sharing, as well as establish best practices for interaction models and user interface designs throughout the team.
* Work in a start-up style environment, where iteration is encouraged and design acumen is demonstrated through design end-to-end product ownership.
* Communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization through excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.
* Earn trust with product managers to develop shared vision and use research and data to identify opportunities and inform decisions.
* Mentor junior talent

Qualifications
- 3+ years of design experience- 3+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience prototyping (HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash or Flash Catalyst, or Axure)
Extended Qualifications
- 2+ years of mass-market consumer web / mobile products experience- Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
- Designing data visualization user experiences

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
