Would you like to be part of a team focused on accelerating adoption of AWS' Infrastructure Modernization services for on-premises to cloud workloads as well as the Amazon’s End User Computing suite including Amazon WorkSpaces, AppStream, and WorkDocs?Do you have the business savvy, technical background, and sales skills necessary to help position Amazon as the cloud provider of choice for our Cloud Desktop and Cloud Application infrastructure?
Amazon Web Services is looking for a Specialized Sales Manager to help establish AWS’ Infrastructure Modernization services and AWS End User Computing as the market leader in cloud computing. We built these cloud services to give customers the agility to respond to the changing needs of their workforce. Customers can scale up or scale down on-demand, providing users with the resources they need, all without deploying and operating infrastructure.
You will be responsible for working with Enterprise customers and their existing AWS account representatives to qualify and pursue sales opportunities for cloud based infrastructure modernization and end user computing workloads.
You will engage with our demand generation, segment sales, solutions architects, partner and marketing organizations to drive opportunities to closure. Your commitments will include sales coaching and development, quota accountability, driving platform adoption within Enterprise accounts, running programs and ensuring success at scale.
The ideal candidate will have both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive an engagement at the Executive level as well as with software developers and IT architects as well as experience leading sales teams and people management and development. The candidate should be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute with their sales team against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets. People Management, Teamwork, Account strategies, cross selling, solution selling, negotiation and closing are just a few of the critical skills required for success.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead, Coach, and Develop a team of Specialized Sellers responsible for industry-aligned territories
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for legacy On-Premises Infrastructure to Cloud workloads as well as End User Computing workloads within your assigned territory.
- Identify and qualify leads, generate opportunities, and close deals.
- Build strong relationships with customers and partners.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and demos
- Provide ongoing support to customers after they have purchased cloud services
- Achieve and exceed team sales targets
- Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date on the latest infrastructure modernization and end user computing features and functionality.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience- 5+ years of sales management experience
- Experience in management of large, complex enterprise accounts or equivalent
Extended Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent- Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent
- Domain expertise in VMware and End-User-Computing

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $168,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $278,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
