Description
The Marketing Traffic Manager leads Woot's direct marketing channels with primary ownership of affiliate marketing strategy and execution, promotional planning, and oversight of a robust CRM team. This role drives customer acquisition, engagement, and lifecycle progression while partnering closely with product, engineering, vendor management, and finance teams. The position requires deep affiliate marketing expertise, strong technical acumen, and proven ability to lead diverse teams.Key job responsibilities
Channel Leadership
• Affiliate Marketing: Own strategy, execution, and optimization of Woot's affiliate program; manage affiliate specialist and partner relationships to drive new customer acquisition and program growth
• Promotional Planning: Build and execute comprehensive promotional strategies aligned with inventory, vendor commitments, and business objectives
• CRM Oversight: Lead CRM team responsible for email, push notifications, and customer lifecycle initiatives; drive segmentation and personalization strategies
• Paid and Social Channels: Working knowledge of paid and social channels to run and provide advice
Customer Growth & Lifecycle Management
• Drive key customer metrics: new customer acquisition, purchases per year (PPY), , active customer growth, and units per order
• Develop strategies to reduce attrition and churn across customer segments
• Create programs that move customers through their lifecycle stages and increase engagement
• Analyze customer behavior and optimize campaigns for retention and lifetime value
Technical & Cross-Functional Partnership
• Partner with product management and engineering to define business requirements and prioritize marketing technology solutions
• Collaborate with vendor management to understand deal sourcing, merchandising workflows, and co-marketing opportunities
• Work hands-on to understand Woot's operational processes and translate insights into marketing strategy
• Manage marketing budgets in partnership with finance, ensuring ROI and cost efficiency
Team Leadership
• Lead and develop diverse team including affiliate specialist and CRM team (email, push, sourcing specialists)
• Foster inclusive culture, provide coaching and career development, and manage performance
• Build cross-functional collaboration and ensure seamless campaign execution
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience- Experience managing teams
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years proven track record managing Affiliate partnerships
- Experience with Paid and CRM platforms and campaigns.
Extended Qualifications
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership- Experience communicating results to stakeholders
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
