Description

Having passed half a billion devices sold, and with tens of millions of interactions every hour, Alexa has become part of the family in millions of households in and outside US.The Principal TPM will be part of the largest quality organization in Alexa, and will play a lead role to orchestrate across hundreds of teams within Alexa, Devices and AGI organization to define workstreams, identify dependencies and gather commitments across teams to help unblock launch milestones countries. This person will be required to go deep to understand technical dependencies, as well as manage the breadth of E2E launch lifecycle. This person will also play a TPM of TPMs role, where the interaction isn't with a single technical team, instead they will deliver results across multiple L8 teams within the org and across partner teams. , and in partnership with several partner teams. At Alexa, we are focused on building the world's best personal assistant, leveraging the latest advancements in Generative AI technologies. The role sits at a critical interaction between our product, tech, science and in-country teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and deliver critical programs across multiple teams (Alexa, International country teams, Domains, Devices, AGI etc.,) to ensure launch milestones are met.
- Standup mechanisms to track and communicate progress towards delivery dates.
- Effectively communicate with all levels of leadership, they should be able to represent complex decisions, trade-offs and solutions in various forums.
- Identify and resolve roadblocks and conflicts that originate during program execution. Partner with PMs, Science and Engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Build relationships and manage by influence in a matrix organization to solve complex AI problems with tight timelines
- Define and execute Program Management best practices across the different Alexa product, science and engineering teams to help raise the bar on the execution of our team.
- Manage a queue of customer facing issues and feature requests to improve the new functionalities of Alexa.

This organization has the charter to ensure Alexa (and Alexa+) is contextually, linguistically and culturally relevant across the billions of interactions that customers have outside US, and also to ensure we serve and improve the validation platform that enables all feature builders across the world, to build globally from day1.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Extended Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
