Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Project Kuiper is looking for an exceptional Project Manager with strategic expertise and a strong delivery record in planning, execution, and adoption of initiatives. This employee will lead B2B Services, Common Core and Network Policy delivery planning with key stakeholders across Kuiper Business and Engineering team. This person will also coordinate program integration across Kuiper with other TPMs.

You will work in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and must be comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. The candidate must have clear business judgment, dive deep into data, and have core writing skills.

The ideal project manager has a strong sense of ownership, is self-driven, and loves thinking big on how to solve global business challenges. They will bring a mix of experience including global program management, senior stakeholder management, workforce planning, operations planning, and process improvement. Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will define the B2B Services team delivery milestones across vertical stakeholders. You will define the delivery milestones and requirements integration across engineering and other downstream product management teams across Kuiper's Common Core Service features and Network Policies related to services quality.

The successful candidate will have experience with satellite industry from a commercial or military background.

You will work with product managers, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to help define Kuiper service and feature delivery via expertly crafted working backwards, business requirements documents which can easily be translated into product and engineering deliverables.

You will communicate workforce plans and report on their execution to critical stakeholders, and continuously improve the planning and execution cycle

Prepare management reporting and monitor performance by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing performance data and trends; identifying and resolving problems; and developing recommendations

Serve as the key interface to other project manager teams, leadership status reporting, and operational readiness.

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.



Qualifications

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

- 3+ years of software development experience

- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules



Extended Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
