Key job responsibilities
- Design, analyze, develop, and implement test equipment and infrastructure used in satellite flight hardware development and qualification.
- Author, refine and implement validation, verification, acceptance and qualification test procedures.
- Develop mechatronics focused test automation, data acquisition and control SW.
- Develop post-processing tools to decompose test data into desired metrics.
- Lead and participate in design reviews, and risk assessments, to contribute to the continuous improvement of satellite hardware performance and reliability.
- Work concurrently with the design engineers to provide design for testability (DFT) feedback throughout the design process
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, systems, reliability, and quality engineers, to gather information, share findings, and develop solutions.
A day in the life
As a Project Kuiper Test Development Engineer, you will own the design and implementation of automated test equipment used to validate satellite hardware designs from initial prototypes, though functional testing, and into pilot production.
