Description

Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

We need a Senior Technical Trainer to lead global training delivery for our global consumer operations.

You'll build and scale training delivery operations globally, working directly with support teams and vendor partners to ensure consistent service quality. You'll launch new training sites, certify trainers, and maintain quality standards.

The problems you'll solve:

• Training across different time zones and cultures to deliver consistent support

• Ensuring quality standards through certification and ongoing audits

• Identifying knowledge gaps through performance data before they affect customers

• Scaling training delivery while maintaining quality as operations expand

• Keeping curriculum current as products and technology evolve

Key job responsibilities

Training Delivery Leadership:

• Lead and deliver technical training programs for support agents and field technicians across multiple international sites

• Design and facilitate "Train-the-Trainer" programs to establish quality standards and knowledge transfer

• Travel to global training sites to launch new support operations and monitor training quality

Vendor Management and Quality Assurance:

• Manage and coordinate training delivery readiness with vendor partners

• Conduct certification audits for trainers and ensure adherence to performance standards

• Provide ongoing quality assurance and serve as escalation point for training quality issues

Content Development and Management:

• Partner with product, marketing and engineering teams to maintain and update curriculum as products evolve

• Develop instructor-led training materials using content creation tools and blended learning approaches

• Ensure technical accuracy while maintaining accessibility for diverse learner populations

Performance Analytics:

• Analyze customer satisfaction and performance data to identify knowledge gaps

• Track training effectiveness and ROI using learning management systems and analytics tools

• Drive measurable improvements in support team performance

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with L&D team, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders

• Influence across multiple teams to drive training quality

• Serve as thought leader for training best practices and scalable delivery models

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

About the team

You'll start your morning reviewing performance data with the learning and development team to spot training gaps. You'll spend time on calls with trainers across time zones, conducting quality audits and providing feedback. You might be updating curriculum as features change. You'll also troubleshoot escalations—when a training cohort isn't meeting standards, you step in to diagnose and fix it.
