Description

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Technical Program Manager who possesses a unique balance of technical and security depth, and strong interpersonal skills to join the Service Team Enablement team in Security Assurance. We work with the AWS Services to forecast demand of regulatory and customer security audits, build PO metrics to show the success of compliance for our builders, as well as build innovative and scalable mechanism to reduce service team audit engagements.

The Service Team Enablement team in Security Assurance focuses on eliminating or reducing unplanned compliance work for service teams so they can continue to build products and delight customers. The team owns programs designed to provide service teams visibility into compliance and security engagements, delivers monthly program reviews to service team leadership, works across AWS Security to provide operational planning guidance to service teams, provide tools to plan and track their requirements, and remove or reduce work to meet compliance requirements by driving control automation efforts.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will directly engage service teams and demonstrate the ability to think big and collaborate with others as you work closely with engineering, infrastructure, compliance and security, to drive strategic security initiatives to continue to raise the bar on security at Amazon. You will be responsible for managing security and compliance audit expectations with service and infrastructure teams, collecting business and systems requirements from stakeholders across Amazon. In the role, the candidate will have be able to own and drive large-scale programs across Security and converse with service teams about architecture, security and compliance. The ideal candidate is a passionate learner who thrives on solving challenges in partnership with teams across AWS, is willing to dive in to the details, can translate those requirements into scalable solutions, and is able to communicate at high levels within an organization. Maturity, high judgment, ability to influence, innovative talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

A day in the life

We facilitate security and compliance engagement with AWS Service Teams to meet the expectations of our customers and regulators through:

1/program reviews with service team leadership;

2/development of P0 metrics for builders;

3/ creation of output metrics showing customer journey;

4/process improvement and opportunities impacting service teams;

5/work with service owners to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges; and

6/manage communications to service teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules



Extended Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
