AGI Data Services is a key part of providing data creation, curation, and analytics services to help develop, test, and train AI models. This organization generates ground truth data which is used to train machine learning models. The team works with various data formats such as audio, video, and images, and packages this information to be used by internal stakeholders including data modeling and product teams.

This TPM role’s scope includes defining strategy, processes and requirements, and leading cross functional development teams from design through delivery. You will be accountable for driving the entire product lifecycle, from platform product definition through specification, coding, quality assurance and launch to the world. Most importantly, you will influence engineering teams to build the right solutions. You will be also responsible for creating leverage by ensuring capabilities are reusable and scalable to world-wide legislative changes. This position involves regular communication with senior management on status, risks and change control. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

Key job responsibilities

The Sr. Technical Program Manager will interact with product management, FA/BA, cross partner teams, multiple stakeholders and leadership to deliver complex projects and programs. The person will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make trade-off decisions, and balance business needs versus technical constraints.

The person should have technical skills to provide solutions, design, build, and deliver it. This may include leading distributed technical teams to manage development, configuration, maintenance, administration, and integration with other systems. Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, be detail driven and have excellent problem solving abilities. You will have a deep understanding of product design and implementation details and will successfully represent the technical team to senior leadership and customers. Your technical expertise and operational excellence will influence the team’s decisions and drive secure and robust solutions, which have great customer experience.

A day in the life

• Provide technical leadership by facilitating solution/design/architectural discussions; find and research ways to utilize the tech Platform improving processes, productivity and scale.

• Work closely with end users, product owners and BA/FA teams to bridge the gap between business and technical requirements and constraints.

• Facilitate and oversee architecture review sessions to ensure design and configuration is consistent across the applications and standards have implemented.

• Provide expertise on capacity management, level-of-effort estimation, task tracking and assignment.

• Collaborate with partner teams to define deliverables, roadmaps, accompanying documentation for projects and programs.

• Work with a cross-functional scrum teams to deliver projects in iterative release cycles.

• Identify, anticipate, assess, track and mitigate issues, risks, roadblocks and escalations at multiple levels.

• Create, maintain and communicate project status, metrics to stakeholders.



Qualifications

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 3+ years of software development experience

- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules



Extended Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
