If so, this is the job for you.We, the AWS Sales, Marketing, & Global Services (SMGS) Data Platform Team, are in the business of helping AWS to gain insights into the organization’s Sales and Marketing data at scale to better serve our customers., while raising the bar for security. We are looking for a results-oriented, driven Technical Program Manager who can work with our engineering and product teams to deliver capabilities and improvements on a multi-petabyte data lake. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, relishes solving data-related challenges, and enjoys understanding and delivering on customer needs.
Key job responsibilities
* Work with engineers, product managers, and partner teams, to create project plans, deliver capabilities, manage risks, and clarify our plans.
* Communicate effectively across teams about scope, goals, priorities, dependencies, expectations, commitments, and timing.
* Influence AWS teams to adopt systems and processes while following security best practices
* Address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus security/technical constraints

Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience with common coding languages including Java, Python, R, SQL, HTML, CSS.- 1+ years of experience writing effective documentation (requirements, high-level system architecture, runbooks, threat models, etc.)
- 1+ year of experience managing a project/product roadmap, including strong written and verbal communication, prioritization, and escalation to remove obstacles and deliver results
Extended Qualifications
- Knowledge of software development and project management concepts- Knowledge of project management tools and software
- 1+ years of experience in a data-related organization or role, ideally in a high-growth or global environment
- Experience leading programs and proven ability to influence and lead without direct management authority
- Experience devising and applying a metrics-based approach to measure service and program effectiveness and consistency
- Experience negotiating and prioritizing work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Experience with and/or certifications in AWS or other cloud technologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
