Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. We seek an exceptional Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the Kuiper Fulfillment program's inventory control and operational excellence initiatives. This leader will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy, quality standards, and service delivery for downstream stakeholders. They will serve as the single threaded leader for Inventory Control and Fulfillment Customer Experience.

This role will engage directly with functional leaders (EHS, quality, supply-chain, manufacturing etc.), operations managers, engineers, and technicians to systematically drive out waste and unlock efficiencies for warehouse processes as well as for our downstream manufacturing processes related to the fulfillment kit consumption. This Sr. TPM will also focus on technology development and integration as we introduce automation technologies into our warehouses. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about continuous improvement. This leader needs to be able to roll-up their sleeves and switch seamlessly between loss identification through tools like Value Stream Maps, building dashboards to generate data-driven insights and executing improvement initiatives working with large group of stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

- Work across the Kuiper organization and partner with other Amazon teams to drive improvement in the Kuiper warehouse spaces as well as for downstream manufacturing operations related to kit consumption. This may include identifying pain points, developing KPIs, leading improvement activities, and driving business change.

- Serve as the single threaded leader for inventory control, quality assurance, and customer experience.

- Develop new processes and systems to raise the bar on operations excellence through industry benchmarking, strategic vendor partnerships or custom-built solutions.

- Drive process standardization and adoption across multiple warehouse facilities, including planning, initiating and managing process changes.

- Use visual tools (value stream mapping, spaghetti diagrams, etc.) to map processes.

- Create robust metrics and analyze large data sets to enable data-driven decision-making at the executive level.



Qualifications

- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

- Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent

- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification

- Experience working with warehouse management systems and kitting optimization

- Proven success assessing problem statements and cultivating solutions in ambiguous environments

- Experience in Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, and/or Consumer Electronics industries



Extended Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience working directly with Business Analytics or Data Engineering teams

- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
