Description

Amazon Private Brand's Core Tech team is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead a cross-organizational GenAI program spanning multiple business and technology teams to accelerate AI innovation and adoption across Amazon Private Brands. The role involves coordinating across 3 product families, and 3 technical organizations, as well as central North America Stores and AWS teams. This role is critical to ensuring APB has the ability to scale and meet business growth targets. As a TPM you have a clear understanding of business needs and impact, and use that knowledge to define clear priorities for the technical and business teams working on Gen AI solutions. You pro-actively engage with partners to anticipate the changing needs of the business. You communicate clearly to your team, partners, and stakeholders the progress, priorities, and trade-offs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and drive program mechanisms and strategic alignment across technical and business teams for GenAI initiatives

- Coordinate knowledge sharing and innovation showcases across APB business and technical teams

- Partner with AI Ambassadors from different business units to consolidate updates, drive idea generation, and evangelize AI adoption

- Oversee program governance including intake processes, technical evaluation criteria, and prioritization frameworks

Required Experience:

- Experience managing complex technical programs involving multiple stakeholders

- Strong understanding of GenAI technologies and applications

- Track record of driving organizational change and cultural transformation

- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership

- Experience with AI/ML development workflows and infrastructure

The role will focus on evolving the current technical program into a broader organizational initiative that:

- Increases visibility and learning opportunities across technical and business teams

- Reduces barriers to AI experimentation and prototyping

- Drives cultural transformation toward becoming an AI-first organization

- Coordinates execution of key AI initiatives while evaluating and prioritizing incoming requests

- The ideal candidate will help establish APB as a leader in applying GenAI technologies to solve business problems while fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation.

About the team

The Core Tech team is responsible for managing Amazon Private Brands (APB) data infrastructure, providing central analytics, and developing central solutions to enable business growth and scale. The team is responsible for leading APB's GenAI initative and regularly engages with partners and stakeholders at all levels across APB business and technical teams.



Qualifications

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

- 3+ years of software development experience

- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

- Bachelor's Degree



Extended Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
