Description

The Product Knowledge Team builds the foundation that powers Amazon's shopping experiences worldwide. We develop standardized, semantically rich product knowledge that drives customer discovery, selling partner success, and internal data enrichment across the world's largest ecommerce catalog. As part of Amazon Selection and Catalog Systems (ASCS), we make product knowledge intuitive and compelling.

The Role: As a Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) on our team, you'll lead global initiatives that directly impact how millions of customers discover and purchase products on Amazon. You'll collaborate with ontology managers, software development managers, knowledge builders, and applied scientists to deliver innovative solutions. You'll also build strategic partnerships across Amazon, working with retail businesses, search teams, operations, and listing partners to translate business needs into technical solutions.

What You'll Do

* Own end-to-end program delivery - from strategy definition through implementation and measurement

* Drive cross-functional collaboration between engineering, ontology, and business teams

* Provide regular updates to senior leadership on program status and impact

* Influence product roadmaps using data-driven frameworks

* Identify and remove blockers to help teams move quickly

* Improve how we track goals, status, and business metrics

* Mentor peers and evangelize semantic technologies across Amazon



Qualifications

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 3+ years of software development experience

- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities paired with strong executive communication skills - verbal and written



Extended Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

- Experience with ecommerce ontologies and semantic search

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
