Description

Amazon is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join our Strategic Alliances team. The Partnership Acceleration & Co-Innovation Team (imPACT360) was launched in the second half of 2024, and we are looking for a Technical Program Manager. This dynamic role will lead and develop new technical programs that have imPACT Amazon-wide, operate and govern programs and mechanisms internally as well as externally and drive speed of co-innovation with our most strategic customers and partners, who happen to be vendors to Amazon. This role will drive the long-term vision, implementation, and integration of multiple tools and systems across Amazon to automate inputs and outputs of the programs and initiatives.

The team includes seasoned Corporate Strategists in charge of defining the strategy and collaborating across Amazon to execute complex and tailored customer engagements, product managers building the next generation of intelligent tools to support the Strategists as well as Finance and Operations. The team is part of Amazon Strategic Initiatives and therefore, this is a unique opportunity to join a high imPACT team with visibility at the most senior levels of AWS and Amazon.

A successful candidate will:

• Have the ability to work independently and lead cross-functional projects/programs

• Be versatile to lead programs ranging from supporting the team efficiency to owning governance of some complex customer engagements or ensuring on schedule delivery of the team’s internal tools

• Build strong partnerships across multiple organizations and roles to deliver results

• Manage projects from conception to delivery with high attention to detail

• Have sound business judgement to identify when there is potential for consistency/standardization/automation, and when customization is required

• Demonstrate confidence operating in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment

• Incredibly organized to allow everything and everyone to move at speed

• Strong Amazon narrative writing skills

• High technical acumen with keen business sense and soft skill for customer interactions

Key job responsibilities

• Define common structure and artifacts for customer engagements

• Own governance of some highly complex and strategic customer engagements, while building automated system for governance and compliance to existing agreements

• Program manage development and delivery of our internal tools, and technical integration to disparate tools

• Drive insights and identify opportunities to add value/structure to our processes through automation and technology

Qualifications

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 5+ years of experience in working directly with engineering teams

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams



Extended Qualifications

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Demonstrate knowledge across a broad spectrum of technologies, tools, architecture, and GenAI products

- Advance degree in IT, business, operations

- Track record of driving business impact through technology and program management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
