As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. In this role you will lead the effort to secure internet capacity for our most high-velocity live and video on demand events Worldwide. You will work with Prime Video technical teams and CDN/ISP partners to secure, configure, and delivery capacity for all our world-wide events. You will collaborate with other teams within Delivery to define and execute on the capacity strategy. You will communicate with engineering teams throughout Prime Video and Amazon and with our executives to provide transparency on our capacity plans.

Key job responsibilities

Define/document and execute on our organization's worldwide capacity strategy.

Work closely with internal stakeholders and outside partners to request capacity and track its delivery.

Drive think big initiatives to identify ways to improve our delivery of content to customers, improve QoE, and drive efficiencies in our delivery stack.

Manage other TPMs located internationally.

A day in the life

Attend relevant standups to assess status of projects impacting capacity strategy.

Meet with CDN and ISP partners to track delivery.

Review upcoming events and cross-check against our available capacity.

Update leadership on relevant program statuses. People manage your TPM leads.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 5+ years of software development experience

- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition



Extended Qualifications

- 5+ years of video/image processing/compression experience

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
