Description

Amazon Leo is seeking an exceptional Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead our aeronautical enterprise services initiative. In this high-impact role, you'll be the strategic glue between engineering, product management, business leaders, and aviation industry customers, ensuring our enterprise solutions meet the rigorous demands of the aeronautical market.

As the principal TPM, you will track the end-to-end delivery of Amazon Leo's aviation products and services, and contribute to the mission from pre-sales through launch and beyond. You'll establish the frameworks, processes, and program governance structures that enable seamless technical onboarding of the entire journey for aviation customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

A Day in the Life

You'll serve as the central point of coordination between customer-facing teams and our product, engineering, and support organizations. Your day involves strategic planning, stakeholder alignment, technical problem-solving, and driving execution across multiple complex workstreams. You'll navigate ambiguous situations with confidence, set clear strategic direction, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver world-class aviation connectivity solutions.

Key job responsibilities

Strategic Program Leadership

• Establish and maintain comprehensive program governance, delivering accurate, timely reporting to both customer-facing teams and Amazon Leo leadership

• Define and track key performance indicators that balance customer satisfaction with product readiness and operational excellence

• Lead strategic program reviews, coordination meetings, and workshops with internal stakeholders, customers, airframe manufacturers, and industry partners

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with customers during pre-sales to deeply understand requirements and translate them into actionable technical and operational plans

• Integrate customer voice into tools, mechanisms, and processes that drive superior service delivery

• Participate in executive-level status reviews with Amazon Leo leadership and customers to ensure successful service rollout and adoption

Technical & Regulatory Coordination

• Coordinate across company departments, vendors, airframe manufacturers, and partners to prepare technical, compliance, and commercial artifacts for licenses, type approvals, and regulatory audits

• Work closely with the FAA and other aerospace regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance throughout the product lifecycle

• Manage relationships with MROs and customer organizations to establish frameworks for smooth installation and integration of delivered products

Supply Chain & Operations

• Partner with supply chain teams to ensure on-time production deliveries that meet customer commitments

• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities, establishing best practices that scale across the organization

• Oversee the complete service delivery plan from product definition through the entire lifecycle of the Amazon Leo aeronautical program

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.



Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Aviation, Aerospace, Technical Communications, etc.)

- 7+ years of demonstrated experience managing complex aeronautical programs with multiple stakeholders

- 2+ years of hands-on experience with end-to-end product delivery for in-flight connectivity (IFC), including both service components and hardware installed in aircraft

- Proven experience working with the FAA or other aerospace regulatory bodies on certification and compliance matters

- Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences



Extended Qualifications

- Deep knowledge of all phases of the aviation product lifecycle: design, development, testing, certification, production, maintenance, and support

- Direct experience managing the complete lifecycle of STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) and line-fit programs

- Exceptional ability to manage ambiguity, influence diverse stakeholders, and build consensus in complex organizational environments

- Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to synthesize multiple requirements and create elegant solutions to complex problems

- Demonstrated track record of influencing cross-functional teams and driving alignment across internal and external stakeholders

- Master's degree in a relevant technical field

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
