Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to un-served and under-served communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

As a member of the Device Technology team, you will have opportunity to impact Kuiper’s global customers and build the Kuiper accessory portfolio. Leading up to Kuiper’s 2025 launch, you will help guide device programs, ensuring that Kuiper accessories will surprise and delight customers, just like our satellite internet service.

We are looking for a PM with experience bringing consumer products to market, with an eye for details to ensure a successful launch of Kuiper products. A successful candidate is customer obsessed, thinking through the customer experience impacts of every decision. You are effective in navigating ambiguous situations while demonstrating ownership over gray areas of responsibility. You are able to dive deep to manage simultaneous projects, monitoring timelines, project statuses and resolving problems. Accessory products include installation hardware, power devices and beyond!

Key job responsibilities

* Preparing accessories to go to market around the world. Engaging with logistical and operational teams to ensure seamless rollout of Kuiper accessories. Invent and simplify processes to integrate Kuiper projects with operations and supply chain capabilities.

* Manage late stages of the Product Development Process, into the launch phase of the product lifecycle. Insist on the highest standards and advocate for the customer. Evaluate tradeoffs and make cost/benefit decisions demonstrating both customer obsession and frugality.

* Influence essential installation-related content to guide customers in the proper use of Kuiper accessories. Collaborate with customer-facing business development and marketing teams to communicate value proposition for Kuiper products.

* Collaborate with engineers and production teams to achieve program objectives on cost, schedule and feature set.

* Communicate program status and provide regular updates to cross-functional leadership.

* Lay the foundation for future product iterations, gathering customer feedback and improving products. Shape the Kuiper product roadmap for future developments, exploring customer needs and the competitor actions and the open market.

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
