The AWS Experience-Based Acceleration (EBA) Team developed a repeatable methodology to drive large-scale customer transformations and accelerate the business benefits of their adoption of AWS. Our customers leverage EBAs as the tip of the spear to change the way they work and help accelerate their cloud adoption where traditional methodologies fall short. Hundreds of enterprises at various levels of cloud maturity have harnessed EBA to build cloud foundations, migrate at scale, modernize their businesses, and innovate for their customers. EBA is ranked as one of the top mechanisms for cloud value realization and customer business transformation.

The Technical Lead is at the center of scaling the EBA methodology with technical thought leadership ensuring AWS Customers follow a prescriptive technical guidance while keeping a high-quality bar. The Technical lead brings a deep expertise in AWS technologies, as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform. The Lead has in-depth expertise in Cloud Computing, Software Development, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Data & Analytics, Generative AI to drive large-scale strategic initiatives, and is measured in the customer adoption of AWS services. Coaching Customers, Partners, AWS leaders, Field teams, this role will have cross-AWS visibility by driving alignment for cloud acceleration in our Enterprise and multi-national customers.

The successful candidate must be comfortable individually driving cross-team efforts with a collective mission, defining well-considered technical objectives and metrics to guide decision-making and drive change. Leading by example, when engaging diverse engineering and business leaders at all levels, the candidate leverages strong verbal and written skills and exceptional business judgment. The Customer Obsessed Lead is expected to coach others on orchestration of successful EBAs by integrating scalable technology in complex customer landscape. They unlock limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind strategic decision processes. They own initiatives to scale EBA with clear objectives, measurable success criteria, and clearly communicate progress and outcomes.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and deploy a repeatable and scalable technical strategy for EBA offerings at a high bar to unlock customer cloud value realization.

• Bring a deep expertise in AWS technologies, as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.

• Develop the technical assets and engagement guidance around specific implementation projects, to help customers achieve faster AWS adoption across – Migration, Modernization, and Innovation (GenAI/ML).

• Help a diverse range of customers to adopt the right architecture and AWS services using the EBA methodology at every stage of their cloud journey.

• Architect scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that can be applied across multiple customers and partners.

• Drive adoption of a broad range of AWS services to deliver business value and accelerate growth.

• Develop specific technical content such as field guidance, sample code and solutions, delivery mechanisms to assist customers solve technical problems and reduce time-to-market.

• Align key stakeholders on EBA offerings technical framework, assets, outcomes, and objectives.

• Gather knowledge, lead projects, and coordinate execution across multiple global stakeholders.

• Identify and produce appropriate business metrics, and continually assess them to improve over time.

• Concisely represent EBA to AWS business leaders and technical teams at all levels.

• Prepare and present detailed, written technical information for internal and external audiences.

• Demonstrate exceptional judgment, integrity, business acumen, and communication skills.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.

- 8+ years of specific technology or product leader experience across domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.

- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in cloud infrastructure and solutions architecture experience.

- Deep technical knowledge of public cloud and hybrid cloud platforms; strong preference for cloud adoption delivery experiences.



Extended Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related field.

- Active AWS Certifications.

- Experience with developing, implementing, and executing strategic initiatives through influence across a cross-functional set of senior stakeholders.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
