The Professional Services (ProServe) Business Development Executive is responsible for building, scaling, and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies that accelerate ProServe billable bookings, drive revenue, and amplify ProServe customer business outcomes. Responsibilities may include outbound activities to proactively create demand and build pipeline; the identification, evaluation, and negotiation of complex deals, typically requiring cross-functional internal or external partnerships, as well as driving larger programs such as AWS-wide growth initiatives. This role is a force multiplier for the field sellers, collaborates across multiple teams, and impacts measurable business metrics.

Our team helps our customers design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments. Our expertise and emerging technologies include AWS Partners, AWS Sovereign Cloud, AWS International Product, and the Generative AI Innovation Center. You’ll join a diverse team of technical experts in dozens of countries who help customers achieve more with the AWS cloud.

Key job responsibilities

1. Working backward from customer needs, develop and evolve AWS's application modernization value proposition and engagement mechanisms.

2. Lead a combination of direct and cross-functional remote teams to help customers initiate their application modernization journey to retire legacy application debt.

3. Identify opportunities to build compelling proposals to help customers achieve business value from application modernization and ensure clarity on AWS's value proposition(s).

4. Develop global mechanisms to deliver GTM elements that may include consultative workshops, reference materials, partner engagements, linkages to other Amazon programs.

5. Develop qualification and training approach to build out the community of field and partner resources to ensure customer business outcomes are realized.

6. Conduct customer briefings, present at customer events, further AWS thought leadership

A day in the life

We help customers modernize their applications and databases from Microsoft .NET and SQL to open source, cloud native services. You will lead customer engagements through assessment and planning alongside our application architecture experts to prepare ProServe and the customer for delivery of modernization services in co-development and outsource models. Using your exceptional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, you will set our customers on a new path for scale and innovation, and make meaningful impact to their business.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

- 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience

- 5+ years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies, including, but not limited to, Mainframe, Serverless, Containers, or Cloud Operations experience

- Bachelor's degree



Extended Qualifications

- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

- 5+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including, but not limited to Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking experience

- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience selling enterprise software or cloud-based applications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
