Description
AWS Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide, enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the cloud. Our team empowers every customer to grow by providing tailored service, unmatched technology, and unwavering support. We dive deep to understand each customer's unique challenges, then craft innovative solutions that accelerate their success. This customer-first approach is how we built the world's most adopted cloud. Join us and help us grow.Be the force multiplier that accelerates AI innovation at scale for AWS's most forward-thinking customers and partners. The AWS Prototyping and AI Customer Engineering (PACE) team builds working Generative AI and Agentic AI prototypes in days and weeks, not months, and we need a Technical Program Manager who can own and grow our partner-led engagement program. If you're passionate about AI technologies, energized by building programs that create non-linear impact through technology partners, and thrive on turning successful prototyping patterns into repeatable, scalable mechanisms, this is your opportunity to shape how organizations globally adopt AI.
In this role, you'll own PACE's partner-scaled AI prototyping program end-to-end, using an "Amazon Designed, Partner Delivered" approach. You'll take proven AI patterns (large language models, RAG architectures, autonomous agents, AI-driven development tools) and scale them through a growing ecosystem of technology partners. Day to day, you'll design and run partner enablement programs, lead partner summits, build qualification mechanisms, and expand into new partnership models. You'll create reusable assets, industry reference architectures, and blueprints that enable partners to deliver PACE-quality AI outcomes independently. This isn't a typical TPM role: you'll sit at the intersection of AI innovation and partner ecosystem strategy, working on problems that don't have obvious answers while creating programs that drive outsized business impact across the industry.
Position requires travel - About 25% Domestic Travel
Key job responsibilities
Own and scale the partner-led AI prototyping program, defining strategy, qualification criteria, and growth targets that expand PACE's reach beyond the core team
Recruit, enable, and manage a growing ecosystem of technology partners through the "Amazon Designed, Partner Delivered" model - from onboarding through production launch
Design and operate scalable enablement mechanisms (partner summits, certification programs, feedback loops) that ensure partners deliver high-quality AI outcomes independently
Create reusable assets, blueprints, and industry reference architectures that partners and field teams can deploy without direct PACE involvement
Establish and track program KPIs - partner launch rates, production conversion, time-to-delivery, and business impact - using data to continuously improve the program
Partner with Sales, Solutions Architecture, and field teams to route and qualify AI opportunities across direct and partner-led channels
A day in the life
Your morning starts reviewing partner delivery dashboards - which engagements launched to production this week, where partners need support, and which new opportunities are queued. You jump into a call with a partner team preparing for their first AI prototype delivery, coaching them through your enablement playbook. Midday, you're designing the agenda for next quarter's partner summit. Afternoon brings a strategy session with Sales leadership on expanding the partner program into a new industry vertical, followed by a quick sync with a partner who just hit a milestone worth celebrating. You're building the machine that scales AI adoption beyond what any single team could deliver alone.
About the team
The PACE team is a small, high-impact group of Prototyping Architects, Design Technologists, and Technical Program Managers who build AI prototypes at a pace most organizations can't match. You'll work alongside builders who are equally comfortable whiteboarding architecture patterns and shipping production-ready code. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our partner ecosystem, field sales teams, and solutions architects across AWS, while helping shape how a growing network of technology partners brings AI to customers at scale. We move fast, we experiment constantly, and we measure success by what actually makes it to production.
Diverse Experiences
AWS values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn't followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don't let it stop you from applying.
