A day in the life
You'll engage with cross-functional teams to understand business strategies and develop comprehensive tax solutions. Your day might include consulting with product teams on new initiatives, researching international tax implications, or presenting tax planning recommendations to stakeholders.
About the team
Our Devices & Services Tax Planning Team partners with business leaders to navigate complex international tax landscapes for innovative digital products. We foster a collaborative environment where creative thinking and technical expertise come together to support Amazon's growing portfolio of consumer technology solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
Extended Qualifications
- CPA, or J.D.- Ability to successfully lead complex, milestone driven projects – including the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
- Understanding of international tax and core federal tax provisions of the Internal Revenue Code and Regulations
- Able to clearly and concisely interface with non-tax personnel at all levels of management
- Able to analyze and review statutes, regulations, and case law in the US and abroad, demand excellence from advisors, exercise controllership and make appropriate recommendations.
- Experience with tax issues related to the digital economy.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $172,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
