Description
Join Amazon's Property Tax team and contribute to managing tax compliance across our global operations. In this role, you'll work with Amazon's complex property tax portfolio spanning AWS data centers, real estate holdings, and incentive programs across the United States, Canada, and international jurisdictions—gaining exposure to diverse business activities while developing expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Key job responsibilities
- Review and analyze property tax notices and value assessments for AWS data center portfolios, including tracking appeal deadlines and maintaining current tax bill information
- Support property tax incentive initiatives by gathering documentation, ensuring compliance requirements are met, and preparing related estimates and analyses
- Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation across multiple international jurisdictions, coordinating with relevant stakeholders as needed
- Conduct market data research and compile third-party reports to support property tax positions and valuations
- Contribute to property tax reporting systems and processes, identifying opportunities to enhance data accuracy and efficiency
A day in the life
As a Senior Tax Analyst on our Property Tax team, you'll focus on managing and analyzing property tax notices, particularly for our AWS data center portfolio. Your day might include reviewing value notices and tracking appeal deadlines, researching market data to support tax positions, or coordinating with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions to ensure compliance documentation is complete and accurate.
You'll collaborate with team members on incentive-related matters, helping to gather supporting documentation and maintain compliance records. You'll also contribute to ongoing projects that improve how we track, report, and manage property tax information across our business. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential as you work with complex, multi-jurisdictional tax matters that directly impact Amazon's operations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
Extended Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment- Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience with multi-state, multi-entity corporate structures
- Experience with property tax related software such as ITAM or PTMS

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
