Description
The Senior Talent Partner manages executive talent for the AWS Global Sales leader. They collaborate with Human Resource Business Partners to support business goals and oversee talent management processes for senior leaders. Their responsibilities include:Key job responsibilities
• Leading succession planning, critical role mapping, and Director promotions across the global organization.
• Ensuring leaders assess organizational design, leadership team strength, succession plans, and leadership pipeline depth.
• Tracking Director capacity and working with leaders to optimize when needed.
• Consulting with business leaders to develop and scale solutions when improvements are needed.
A day in the life
The Senior Talent Partner will plan, coordinate, and facilitate the executive level talent cadence for the AWS Global Sales, including succession planning, promotions, talent reviews and organizational analysis. They work backwards from the needs of the business to derive talent strategies and partner with HR and business leaders to align on and execute plans. The Principal Talent Partner not only runs the talent cadence, they are a consultant and thought partner with the HR Director and their VP(s) regarding critical talent, succession readiness, and development planning.
About the team
This role reports into the Global Talent Team and is also an embedded member of the Human Resource team that directly support AWS Global Sales. The Senior Talent Partner gets to connect with peers in similar roles while also maintaining a direct line to the sales business for executing on talent processes.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience with 10+ years progressive in Talent Management or Human Resources.• Demonstrates business and HR acumen, including problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and analytical acuity.
• Proficient in partnering effectively with senior leaders through skillful navigation of ambiguous situations using strategic planning and effective project management.
• Communication, coaching and influencing skills across diverse counterparts, globally.
Extended Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Business, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources Management or related field.• Executive Coaching certification or experience as HR Business Partner to senior executives.
• Experience leading organizational design efforts to accelerate business growth.
• Demonstrated agility in thriving within fast-paced and innovative environments.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $187,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
