About the Role:

We are looking for an accomplished Systems Engineer who builds and maintains our AWS infrastructure, Tableau deployment, and Operations. You are an empathetic, compassionate leader that will work to grow your team and domain of expertise at Twitch. You have a solid technical AWS infrastructure experience while staying ahead of technology trends. You will report to the Sr Manager, Enterprise Systems Engineering.

Preference for San Francisco, CA or Remote (The engineering team is located across San Francisco, CA )

You Will:

- Work cross-functionally between marketing, engineering, product, legal and security teams.

- Build and support our marketing stack: tracking, measurement, attribution, optimization and automation across all platforms.

- Integrate with various 1st and 3rd party APIs

- Work with external vendors to maintain and develop our technology integrations, facilitate beta-testing of new products and features.

- Evaluate and optimize system performance, security, and cost-effectiveness by using AWS services, third-party tools, and automation

Qualifications

- 5+ years web application development experience with web services at scale

- Backend experience with Node, GoLang, Elixir, and/or Ruby

- TDD and CI/CD experience

- AWS Lambda, ECS, Cloudformation, Cloudfront, S3, CDK and DynamoDB

- Javascript experience w/ at least one framework and proficient w/ Vanilla JS

- Preferred: AlpineJS, TypeScript

- Bonus: React, Svelte, EmberJS

- Experience building out GraphQL and REST APIs

- Experience w/ building projects using GitHub Actions

- Experience with translation, localization, and geotargeting

- Experienced in using and building on AWS

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
